Fixed Ceramic braces

Ceramic braces, also known as clear braces are similar to traditional braces but they use clear or tooth-coloured brackets instead of stainless steel metal ones. The ceramic material blends with your teeth, making them less noticeable compared to metal braces. This aesthetic advantage is especially appealing if your concerned about the appearance of braces.

We offer both Symetri braces – uses elastics to hold the wire into the brackets and Damon clear braces, which are self ligating. Your orthodontist will discuss which option would be better for you. Both involve regular appointments with you orthodontist tor orthodontic therapist.

How do ceramic braces work?

Clear brackets are attached to the front of each tooth and are connected by a thin metal or tooth-coloured wire. The brace uses gentle pressure to gradually move your teeth into the desired position.

You’ll need to visit your orthodontist throughout your treatment, typically every six to ten weeks, so they can check on your progress and adjust the wires of your braces. Once you’ve finished treatment, you’ll be given fixed or removable retainers to maintain your new smile.
