Fixed Braces
Fixed braces are a common type of treatment used to straighten teeth. They’re made up of brackets which are fixed to your teeth, attached to wires that gradually move your teeth into the correct position. Fixed braces can correct a range of orthodontic problems including crooked teeth, overcrowding, overbites or underbites. At The Bay Orthodontics, we offer a range of fixed brace options.
Hesitating To Smile? Rediscover Your Confidence With The Bay Orthodontics
The Bay Orthodontics offers wide variety of fixed braces
Metal fixed braces
Metal braces are a traditional form of orthodontics and consist of stainless steel brackets being attached to the front of your teeth and are connected with a metal wire. The wire is then adjusted at regular appointments with your orthodontist or orthodontic therapist.
Iconix brace
Iconix braces are champagne-coloured stainless steel brackets that perfectly balance beauty and practicality. The brackets are attached to the front of the teeth and are connected with a metal wire, which is then adjusted at regular appointments. The attractive feature of ‘white gold’ allows the brackets to remain champagne colour throughout the treatment.
Damon metal brace
Damon braces are similar to other types of fixed braces. They consist of wires held by the brackets and not elastics. These brackets use a self-ligating system to connect the archwires to the brackets unlike traditional braces where elastic ties are used.
Lingual Braces
Lingual braces work the same way as other fixed braces but the brackets are attached to the inside of your teeth. For this reason, they are also known as hidden braces or braces behind teeth used in many industries across the world.
Fixed Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces, also known as clear braces, are a more discreet option than metal braces. Clear brackets are attached to the outer surface of each tooth and are linked by metal or tooth-coloured wires with more comfort.
